As the previous crane ideas i posted were quite expensive and being the 'finance officer', i have come across a much cheaper alternative. this is basically used as a engine hoist/portable crane.
the benifts of this design are:

• weighs only 103kg - can be carried in a toyota Landcruiser which has a maximum payload of ~680 Kg.

this can be purchased for £175 inc VAT. compared to the first few designs which would cost near £1000 +!
